We have three FCP systems 2 have 4.5 and 1 has 5.

Is there a way to start a project on 5 then moving it to 4.5?
Is there a “Save as 4.5” feature or anything like that?

Also I noticed that if I digitize media on 5 (with 1V and 2A channels) when we opening it on 4.5 there is only 1 Audio channle.

Has anyone else noticed this and is there a way around it.

    Thanks

FCP is not designed to let you go backwards, no.

You can export XML 1.0 out of FCP 5 and import that into 4.5

Ok that’s fine, but that didn’t answer my other question about the media having different attributes in 4.5 then it was recorded with in 5.

I think the answer is “yep, that’s what happens.”
