Good screenshots. One additional problem, although probably minor, is that your frame rates don’t quite match. Your project settings are 59.94fps while fraps is set to 60 fps. In the future, suggest you change fraps to also capture at 59.94. However, if you’re rendering just for Youtube at 30P (29.97 fps), just capture at that frame rate to start with and change your project and render settings accordingly. You should get faster renders. While Youtube now supports 60P, I find that you get quite a few dropped frames, even with a pretty fast internet connection.

I’m not a gamer, but to me, your YT clip looks pretty good. Again, you could post a screen shot of your media properties (or Mediainfo shot) and your new project settings, just to ensure there are no mismatches. E.g. if you capture at 60P and render at 30P, you should definitely disable smart resample.

Your project settings are messed up–they are set up for HDV-1440 x 1080 interlaced. Change your project settings to match your media properties–e.g. 1920 x 1080 at either 30P or 60P depending upon media. Set PAR to 1.0 and try again.

You need to begin by providing detailed information–media properties, project settings, and render settings. Screenshots of these would be most helpful. Also an overall screenshot of your Vegas timeline would be useful. Without such detailed information, any suggestion would just be a wild guess.

I record the game i’m playing with fraps at 1280 by 720 resolution

    although recorded at 1080p

One of these statements is incorrect. If its the first, then recording at 720 and rendering at 1080 will look terrible.

If you recorded at 1080, then you will need to provide further information–media info, project settings, and render settings. Preferably screenshots that are readily available in Vegas.

What you want to do (if I understand you correctly), is pretty simple although technically it is not creating a transition. Regardless of language, simply place your png (or jpg or whatever) on a track above your video track and size it to whatever length you want. Then click on the pan-crop icon for your png image to open the Video FX window. It will say pan-crop. Right click anywhere on the image and select Match Output Aspect. Then crop and move your image to any size or position. Under Workspace, you’ll have to lower the zoom so that you can see the entire image against the frame. Simply position it wherever you want. Then go to the end of the event. On the very bottom you will see an arrow pointing to the right with a line to the right of it. Clicking on that will now position you at the end of the event. Click on the + icon which will add a keyframe which you will see on the Position timeline. Then zoom/position again to whatever you want. Or if you want to fill the entire frame, simply select the 16:9 Widescreen TV aspect ratio preset or whatever project ratio you are using. That’s it. Once you preview, you will see the png move from the inital position to fill the entire frame, thus covering the video track beneath it.

September 26, 2015 at 3:53 pm in reply to: Vegas Pro12 color match plugin not working

Why clicking this button should bypass the effect?
That’s the way its designed to work–an easy way to toggle between your event (unaltered) and your event with FX applied. Go to Vegas help and search “split screen”. The first title will be split-screen previews which describes the various ways it can be used.

When I click on the screen button, I only see a + mark cursor icon.
    That IS the eye-dropper.

Further, How can I apply this match to a series of clips?
Very easy. Once you have applied the color-match effect, or any Fx for that matter, to an event do this. First simply copy the event. Then select the other events. Place cursor inside one of the selected events, right-click, and select “Paste Event Attributes”. In this way, the event Fx will be applied to all those selected.

From your screenshot, it appears that the Split Screen View button (just left of Preview Quality)is depressed. If so, it is possible the the Fx Bypassed is checked, in which case, you would not see the Color Match effect displayed.

Here’s what I get for upgrade from SAL to the Suite.

Once I enter my SAL activation code, I get this.

    I seems you’re only paying for the 2 plug-ins.
