Your second link is the same as the first–uncorrected.

That should work. Make sure that you don’t have the Split Screen Preview button (left of Preview Quality) depressed or your Fx by-passed. If that’s not the problem, a screen shot of your timeline would be most helpful.

Sorry that your problem remains unsolved. Since your media, project, and render settings seem OK, I’d suggest you re-render a short (less than a minute) loop region within your project that is showing these problems and upload to Dropbox or something (not Youtube) for others to have a look. If you could upload the same pre-rendered avi clip, that would be even better for comparison purposes. Perhaps someone with gaming experience could have a look.

Once you add an audio track and remux, then it will be compatible. Remember, this is simply the video stream. You need to also render your audio track separately and then combine. Usually this is done in your blu-ray authoring program such as DVD Architect. If you want just a single file that you can “play” on a computer and not a blu-ray disc, then simply render to an MP4 and include your audio track. You can use the same video encoder settings. Only the container will be different. The quality will be the same.

The problem is that the players do not like rendering a video stream only. I tried VLC and got the same result. However, Media Player Classic – Home Cinema will play avc files without issue. It’s a free download.

Use Photoshop or some other image editing software–at least for your stroke example.

Good screenshots. Two things. On your project settings, change Full-resolution rendering quality to Best. And on your render settings, change frame-rate from 29.97 fps to 30 fps–just type it in. You never said–how did the new render look? Improved? Same?

Agree with Steve. Vegas already has a Blu-ray 50i template at 16 Mbps, which can be increased to 22 Mbps. Stay away from the Mainconcept encoder. If you insist on mpeg for whatever reason, you could try frameserving to TMPGEnc’s Mastering Works 6.

Agree with Norm. Use either Mediainfo or the media properties window inside of Vegas. This one.

If indeed the frame size of your media is 800 x 600, there is little wonder that it looks pixelated when rendering at 1920 x 1080, especially given different aspect ratios. You can upscale, but it will look pretty terrible. The screen shot of your timeline is even more perplexing. There, your project frame size is 1600 x 900 at 128 bits which means that your project settings have been set to 32 bits rather than the usual 8 bits.

September 27, 2015 at 10:00 pm in reply to: “Pixel” glitches when rendering in Vegas Pro 13

Do you get the same glitches if you do a render to something like Sony AVC? Seems to me I read a recent thread of similar problems linking it to the Mainconcept encoder, but don’t remember if it was on the CC or Vegas Pro forum. Here, I found it. https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/24/992608. Don’t think there was any resolution. One alternative would be to frameserve to another MPEG encoder such as TMPGEnc’s Mastering Works, Procoder or even CCE if you have it, to see if you get the same problem.
