1. Duplicate your footage and light layer.
2. Create a mask around the face on Second Layer. Feather it out.
3. Now precomp the light_2 and face_2(the one with mask) layers.
4. In the Precomp, Increase the intensity of Light-2.Here is an example:

You can mimic these effects with some solid layers.
Make solid layers of the desired color and mask a section out of it. Give it a high feather value. Now Animate the opacity of layers and check which blending mode suits you best. Generally Add,screen and overlay will give you good results.
4-color Gradient Effect(Generate>Ramp, Generate>4-Color Gradient) to create the Colored lights.

Oh I got it!
In the Effects Control menu, in Change to Color Effect use “Hue,Lightness and Saturation” instead of “Hue”.
Then in Tolerance, Bring down Saturation 1% or 2%.
Though this will effect the overall color of your footage as it will affect the luminance value of other colors too.

Make a new Null Object(3D) and Parent all the Layers to it except wall and floor layers.
Also parent the first Null(to which wall and floor layers are parented) to the second Null Object .
Now use second null to move everything right.Make sure all layers are 3D including Null objects.
If you don’t want other object to accept lights and shadows(in case if there is any) press AA and Turn Off Accept Light and Shadow in material properties.

Blending modes behave differently in 32-bpc mode as compared with 8-bpc or 16-bpc mode.
