i’ve just downloaded the imgages from the internet and resaved them in ps.in the options at save for web the transpereny was checked.
I seems that there is no transparency in the Original Image File that you have downloaded from web.
As Tero said, there should be transparency in the Photoshop Document. Just select the White or Black BG using Magic Wand Tool and delete that in such a way that you have the main subject only. You will see white and black small squares as BG in Photoshop. Now save the file as 24 bit PNG.

Just of curiosity, I tried the service and liked it. Its pretty fast.
BTW, Do you know about PipeBytes? Its a great way to share files and you don’t have to upload the files. Your PC will act as a Server and the other person can download it directly from your PC. Just give it a try. I use it to share small files say upto 100 MB.

Here’s the same with the shadow intensity increased (normally at 20%, increased to 109% for the sake of making it more visible)
Instead of increasing the intensity of one light to 109%, try using two or three lights of low intensity and see if it works.

I like your idea about freelance, Joe! I worked freelance in the past, and I had a lot more freedom and a lot more fun!
I am with you Tara. I personally feel that Freelancing is a Life Saver option for Artist :D. Good money and less working hours. Specially the freedom we get 😉

So we cut the clip and “replace with after effects” the 10 seconds.
In AE we applied the Warp StabilizerMay be the problem is with Replace with AE command. Just a guess. If it is missing one frame, then Instead of 10 sec, send 11 sec of clip to AE and then use WS. Then cut the first sec in edit.

I liked your video a lot. The only area I feel that can be improved is the Shadow. The shadows are flickering. Also they are a little bit more diffused. May be it is a problem with the Codec.

If you want to keep your job, you get used to it. There are fifteen people waiting behind you to take it. That said, you can always walk out the door and work freelance.Totally agree with you. Specially in Developing Countries like India, there are many who are ready to work even for few pennies or free just for the sake of Organization Name and Value. I really hate this attitude. Once they do this, people at top take advantage. There should be a UNION of artist to change whatever is happening in the Animation and VFX industry.

I am not understanding the equation of .5 + .5 = .75This is related to Zeno’s Paradox. You can read about it from here:
A lead developer on the After Effects team once described the program’s opacity calculations as follows: Imagine you have a light which is 1, and place a 50% transparent filter (say, a sheet of vellum) in front of it. Half the total light is permitted through the vellum (0.5 * 1 = 0.5). Put another 50% transparent sheet of vellum on top of that. Now half of half the light shows through (0.5 * 0.5 = 0.25). You can theoretically repeat ad infinitum without reaching 0% light transmission, at least in a pure digital environment.
