“This USB Mass Storage Device can transfer information faster if you connect it to a Super-Speed USB 3.0 port”I frequently get this message whenever I connect my Hard Disk(with a 3.0 USB Cable) to a USB 2.0 port. Though if I connect it to a USB 3.0 port there is no error and the transfer speed is much higher.

I have tried masking the foreground object (person) but then WS trys to track the mask.
Precompose the Footage after masking the FG object. Then use WS on Precomp where there is no Mask.

John has already given you a right direction. I have done it using a different method though very similar to what John has done.
Steps:
1. Motion Track the pencil Head using Ae Tracker and Edit Target to a Null Object.
2. Copy the Position Data of Tracker.
3. Now make a New Solid and create a rough Mask Shape.
4. Now Press MM to reveal the Mask Path parameter. Make sure your CTI is at where your Tracking data starts.
Now past the Position data of Null to Mask Path.
5. Now copy the Mask Path and paste at Path in Shape Layer.
6. Now Add Stroke and Dashes as John has explained.
7. Add a Trim Path Parameter and then animate the End Parameter.Check the Example:

If you will face any problem in understanding any step, Come back and ask your query.
We will help you to sort it out.

Open you Main Comp. Then Press ” Cntrl/Cmnd + Alt/Optn + Shift + N “. This will open a Dual Window Mode with your Main Comp on Right Side and Locked. Now you can open any precomp and adjust any parameter and you can view real time changes in Main Comp.

As Todd said your graphic will look pixelated even if Continuously Rasterize switch is ON.
For Example: Make a new Text Layer. If you Scale using Scale Parameter under Transform, the text will not pixelate. But if you Zoom in Composition Panel using Mouse Scroll then you will notice that the text is pixelated. This is not Pixelation. You are Zooming too much so that you can clearly see the Pixels.

Check this tutorial on Motion Sketch :

Also to adjust the Timing of motion keyframes. Select all key frames and the Alt + Drag the last key frame.

Glad that you solved the issue but just because of curiosity I found the answer of your question. The reason that you are a getting a thin edge where the two masks intersect each other is because of Opacity Addition formula used in AE. For ex – Two layers with 50% opacity gives you 75% opacity and not 100%.
In the same way TWO PIXELS of 50% opacity overlapping will not give you 100 % opaque results.
So a thin edge is visible where transparent pixels overlap.
Stephan has given you the right answer. Use Alpha Add mode for the Top mask and the seam will disappear. It will directly ADD the opacity rather than using the default AE algorithms.

I then wanted to make transitions between a few of these stabilized shots (that are know AE-comps), once again using AE.My advice is to stay with Premiere Pro for Transitions rather than going to AE. AE contains few transition effects that you can find in Premiere Pro.
