I know we can not use Blending modes to generate alpha.

Also you can use “Red Giants Knoll – Unmult” plugin which is free to download. It will key out black with just one click.

You can use Add, Lighten or Screen to remove the black BG. If its not working, then pre-compose your footage and change blending mode.Also, you can use ” Luma Key ” effect to remove black or white from your footage.
Go to Effects>Keying>Luma KeyingUnder effects panel, twirl down Luma key and choose “key out darker” in “Key type”.
Now increase the Threshold. This will remove the black from footage.
If you will choose “Key out Brighter”, it will key out white.

If you have older version of AE, you can try these steps:
1. Turn off your live update(near the search bar in layer panel). This will enable the wireframe of any object that you will try to move.
2. Now press “Apostrophe” or click on “Choose grid and guide option” which is in viewer near magnification ratio and choose Tile/Action Safe.
3. Now move your text layer the the center crosshair using the bisection point of the diagonals.
4. Now Press ” Y ” and move your anchor point to the center point of the frame.Vishesh Arora

In this you will see that as you will reach to the point where the window can’t be track, you have to increase the size of window to show that we are going through the glass.
You can use this concept to show that you are going through the camera.
