Like for example, you put your camera on the middle of a road. And you are recording yourself walking straight on the road and towards the camera and then go through the camera/camera lens. Can this be done? Thanks man.

    Mr. Lee
Yes this can be done. Here is a tutorial by Andrew Kramer.

    https://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/magic_glass/

In this you will see that as you will reach to the point where the window can’t be track, you have to increase the size of window to show that we are going through the glass.

You can use this concept to show that you are going through the camera.
    Hope this will work.

Actually, yeah.Even though I’m a newbie at AE,I can still guide you as to how to do that trick.
    It’s pretty simple really.
First, record yourself walking towards the camera in a well-illuminated empty room Make sure you put up a green screen as your BG.
Like, you need to put a cloth/banner kinda thingy which is fixed, plus it shouldn’t have a lot of folds.Kinda like a clean green BG.[Light screen]Well illuminated too.

Okay.now you’re done recording yourself walking towards the camera.
    Next,
Record a video of the street with the moving cars of stuff.

Oh,and make sure you record with a high MP rated camera, cuz higher the MP,better the quality.

    Now you’ve got 2 videos.
Open up After Effects, create a comp[Named WALK IN THE STREET].Drag the green screen footage and that street footage to the timeline.

Now all you gotta do is use a plugin called Keylight for removing the green screen.Key out the screen. The BG which WAS green will now be completely transparent and the effect will look pretty realistic.

Zoom into the camera.Apply motion blur.Mask out the lens thingy of the camera.Colour correct your comp.

Adjust the parameters a bit.Slightly blur out the edges of yourself[GREEN SCREEN footage] a bit.And voila! You’re done 🙂
