Hi Rafael,

There are still a few bugs for the BM hardware in CS5.

If your RAID and CPU are doing fine, try closing the program monitor panel in Premiere, that solved some of my issues, we still get dropped audio however(BM Studio 2). And of course, double check your sequence settings.

Speed is directly related to scale ratio vs time, even in Premiere 🙂

Spread out your keyframe, reduce the scale ratio.

The other thing you may be thinking of is easing in and out on zooms, something Premiere doesn’t do automatically.

Select all the keyframes, right click > Temporal Interpolation > Ease in then ease out.

One thing to remember is that more layers also means more data throughput from the drives. At some point, depending on your footage, those 3 drives just won’t cut it, especially in RAID 5.

Hi Shane,

As far as audio gain goes, there must be something different about the tracks in your timeline.

Are these just stereo clips, or dual mono? Did you may any changes in the audio channel mapping?

Also take a look at the mixer panel.

You would have to copy and paste the clips from your FCP sequence into a new “AJA preset” sequence.

My answer would be, if it’s popular, as in currently on the charts, forget about it… You will have to reach an agreement with both the music publisher and record label. I hope you are retired:-)

That being said, you it’s non profit, or for a good cause, or a big budget piece (I mean where you can afford $20,000.00 in rights), there’s always a chance you might get a deal. Again, you have to find out who both the music publisher and record label are for the particular track and reach out to them.

You should have a custom option as part of the drop down frame rates.

Hi John,

Prores will work on a Windows platform, provided they have a newer version of Quicktime, or the Prores decoder installed.

Just send a quick sample to make sure that your export settings are correct and that the Machine will handle the codec.

XDCAM Wrapped in Quicktime on the other hand will probably not work, at least it didn’t in CS4.
