Now that I have your attention! I am presently learning this software and what I have found is that when I try the Ken Burns effect, ie. pans and zooms on still images, this software only pans or zooms quickly. What I mean by this is that, frequently when I view documentaries the filmakers will pan or zoom almost imperceptably over an image. It is zooming or panning, but very, very slowly. Sony Vegas is incapbable of doing this. Even if I spread out the keyframes I get a quick pan, or zoom. Is Adobe capable of making these very slow pans, and zooms?

    Gary,

Speed is directly related to scale ratio vs time, even in Premiere 🙂

Spread out your keyframe, reduce the scale ratio.

The other thing you may be thinking of is easing in and out on zooms, something Premiere doesn’t do automatically.

Select all the keyframes, right click > Temporal Interpolation > Ease in then ease out.

I’m not sure what you mean – Vegas can do this just fine – I do it all the time. Check your keyframes, you may have created an extra inadvertently.
