Hi David,

You can simply click on the right top side of your AE comp and select View options, and check the aspect ratio correction box.

This will not however provide a true high quality preview. Instead, I would recommend you change the comp settings in AE to 1280×720 square and all will be right again.

I don’t think there ever was a template for this, I’ve seen so many different versions.

Just make a safe margin, like the Premiere program window. Add a battery shape and a red dot, you can make it blink with opacity keyframes.

The other thing you often see are TV interlace lines.

Here’s a plugin you can use for Photoshop. Just create the interlacing alone to the resolution of your footage, then bring it in Premiere and adjust transparency.

Hi Mike,

Rendering speed really comes from CPU and GPU is some cases.

More RAM will help with multicore CPUs, or multiple CPUs, but in the end, you just need more processing power.

My advice would be putting any money towards an upgrade to a MacPro, even a used one instead.

I think the answer is actually that Youtube doesn’t support 60P. I believe it did at one time, but no longer does. The end result is that half the frames are thrown out, thus the “missing” frames issue you are having.

My advice would be creating a new timeline at 29.97, then copy and paste your old timeline to this new one.

You may have to do some clean up after that.

If you are going to black, have you tried a dip to black, going to 50%?

I actually create both a trimmed version and drag everything else in.

The reason for the trimmed version is that it brings in every file I might have mistakenly left on another drive.
