“Heavy” banding would also occur if you rendered in an open GL setting instead of advanced 3D.

Going with Rich’s idea, I think you could actually export each circle from Photoshop, convert each one to a QT movie with alpha channel, then reimport and use the scale and blur effects.

Your last comp should render pretty fast.

Well, wma files should work in AE. But that would raise issues about quality, especially when you will have to recompress again after, depending on your final media. But why convert them and not use the originals in AE ?

In general, small size wma files are only good for the web as far as quality after compression. (Some will say not even that 😉

Most of what I do is for NTSC viewing, on plasma screens.

Thanks Bill, I kind of figured I had tried pretty much everything, well I can still use it for work area.

    Thanks guys,

    Thanks a lot Tim.

About the subpicture blinking , the funny thing is that it doesn’t really happen on the preview.

I will try expanding the video clip.

    Thanks,

    Hi Doug,

Thanks, I did think of that but I am actually looking for something I could animate, (you know the flame in the wind look)…

Should I pursue my green screen option instead ? I have seen some pretty impressive stuff made with pyrocluster, but not a single flame.

    Thanks a lot,

Or if you like challenges…. You could isolate audio frequencies and assign them to different layers.
