You would get thiner bars if you were to import Pal footage into an NTSC project, but if are sure you are working in PAL all the way, how about if you create a new Widescreen Pal project and import the footage then, what do you get ?

If you are getting bars, and nothing looks squeezes vertically, then you are shooting 16:9

I’m sorry, I meant “TV out” (as in graphics card TV out). And those are, in general, truly awful.

Although, a TV really isn’t a perfect solution either.

For one thing, TV’s aren’t meant to be calibrated. The blue gel solution only goes so far…

I find it very difficult to do scene color correction, or skin tone adjustment on a TV monitor.

Maybe it’s just the cheap TVs I’ve tried, but I find that I would have to try to calibrate the thing every 10 minutes to get consistent results, and that’s discounting the “jittery” part of staying in front of it for days.

And last, but not least, I don’t see myself rolling the entertainment center in the field 😉

    Cheers

There are a few plugins here: https://www.adobe.com/products/plugins/premiere/

    and here: https://www.borisfx.com/products/CONTINUUM_COMPLETE/bcc/premiere/bcc4_new.php

For the amount you’ll be spending on these, you may want to look at After Effects, whose many transition you can also import in Premiere.

TV is not really any good for a video preview though 🙁

    Miss2z,

Are you sure that your video card can be upgraded on your laptop? The majority of laptops out there don’t have that capability, but if it’s a new higher end machine it might…

I do have a late version here and I’m thinking about putting it on one of our machines. I will let you know how it goes.

I’m not sure if I understand your question, but as long as the stop watch is “selected” on the volume “effect” any changes on the volume slider should result in a new keyframe.

Do a search in the archives for split stereo tracks.
