The 4 gig limit (other than on a FAT 32) only relates to some Quicktime codecs, but never to AVI’s.

So, is the capture stopping because of dropped frames? If eiter do a search for Capture drop frames in the archives and you will find tons of possible reasons and fixes, including drive settings, defrag, etc.
Or you could try downloading a freeware called Windv, that was the only one that would allow me to capture without dropped frames back in the old days.

As Aanarav mentioned, go to the drive properties and change the letter to the one that was used in the original project. You may have to try a couple of them if you are not sure what it was.

I will summarize it for you. There are indeed more FCP users than there are PP Pro users, at least for a while.
Nobody seems to agree on either ones market share…but, anybody who tells you flat out that one is better than the other usually doesn’t detail his/her answer, and most likely hasn’t pushed the software enough to even understand the limitations of either one, and they BOTH have limitations. I think that they both have some issues, and you are bound to run into them at some point, you just learn how to live with them.
Overall, FCP users probably run into as many issues as PP2 users.

BTW, DV and motion graphics / animation aren’t meant to be mixed. DV is meant to compress video out of a camcorder, and that’s about it.
5:1 compression on animation is always going to look pretty ugly.
