jitter on dvd
I’m fairly new to dv editing and just tried burning a dvd from PPro 1.5. I used NTSC high quality – force max bit rate – 2 pass and am seeing a lot of jitter on playback on a TV in scenes with motion or pans.
I wonder if there’s a problem with the source – I copied 8mm tapes to dvds using a dv link to dvr. I then took analog out of dvr passed through camcorder with dv out going to computer for capture.
The computer should be able to handle it – 3.6 GHZ 2GB Ram 16x NEC dvd burner.
I haven’t played with interlace settings, should I?
Any ideas or suggestions?

It’ s probably a reversed field order.

Apologize in advance if this is a silly question but is that easy to correct and/or learn how to do?

I will assume here that all clips have the same field order. If you use the Adobe media encoder to export, just go to the video tab and change the field order to upper (Lower is the defailt setting). See if that helps.

Reversing the fields seemed to do the trick. Thanks for your help!
