Did you move all the files separately from the project file? Did it ask you to relink the files? If the Auto-saved project are producing the same result, then it isn’t the project files themselves. Did you try resetting the preferences?
You could try creating a new project, then importing the project file.

And could even be an issue with your preview/peak files, so deleting them might be another option.

If they all produce the same behavior, then you either have a corrupted source file, or a corrupted program. The first thing to try would be resetting the preferences, holding Ctrl+shift while starting Premiere.
If that doesn’t do it, I would try moving the folder where all your footage/clips reside to force Premiere into relinking the footage. That way you can isolate the bugger.

The only noise you will have any success removing (using a denoiser or EQ), is subtained noise such as hiss, hum, or for example a fan noise.

It makes sense to me, since you are saving over the original. Same thing happens if you choose to edit a still in Photoshop. Once you are done with your clip in audition, click “Save as” instead and rename you file to something else, then reimport. I got caught a couple of times to, but I learned quicky 😉

Once thing I recently noticed is an issue withy color finesse (versions prior to 2.0) with PP2. I’m not sure how you color corrected, but it’s just a thought.

I would recommend AVI for uncompressed export, unless you are going to a Mac.
Were you using QT animation?

Very likely something Premiere doesn’t support… You can download a copy of GSpot, it will tell you what codec was used to encode the footage.

It is going to be much easier (and free) to do it in AE. There are a couple of plugins for Premiere (not even sure if they still work in PP2), but they aren’t cheap for what they do.
If you don’t have dynamic link, once you are done editing, just export uncompressed, then apply the filter in AE, or use one of the tutorials to get the effect you need (that’s assuming you want the entire thing in old film look?)

The first thing to look at with these type of errors is video card drivers, either go back in time, or get the newest ones, especially if you are using an NVidia. From what I’ve seen however, this error only comes up once and rarely, and a new capture usually fixes the problem.
