It looks like compression, usually you’ll see the artifact in higher motion areas. What are your export settings?

That’s not unusual. Unfortunately, premiere is almost never backwards compatible.

Hi Nick,
A USB 3 drive won’t change your export speed. Processor speed first, then GPU would be the culprits. May sure it’s not a laptop with something like a cheap integrated Intel graphics card. You’ll need Nvidia or AMD, ideally, one supported by Premiere.

Which BM boxes? Anything that can be rack mounted (ATEM, routers, etc.) definitely should be, but yes most of their products do get burning hot, I haven’t had any issues so far.

These days, you may be better off looking at SDI for recording, Firewire is now a thing of the past. In the end it all depends on your budget.

It won’t pull miracles in low light, but it will be clean without gain and no rolling shutter issues You could certainly record in the camera itself on SD cards and I would always recommend that as a backup.

And off course the KiPro Mini or PIX recorders for the good and expensive stuff.

Hi Alan,
I believe these are surround tracks, so they are restricted to surround clips.
You can delete tracks by right clicking on the track (left side) and choose delete track. Or choose tracks (with a s) and you will be able to delete all empty tracks. You can then create new tracks, and make sure you select adaptive.

Not sure why it’s happening. The first thing to try is convert to wav (if mp3) from your 30P timeline and see if that works in your 60P track.

Hi Ali,
All these projectors take in DVI or VGA, so you’ll need a Thunderbolt to DVI or VGA adapter. (DVI is crisper since it’s digital)
If you are connecting to all 4 projectors at the same time, you’ll also need a 1×4 DA to split the signal, a short cable to make from your computer to the DA, and 4 cables to make it from the DA to the projector. For DVI, It’s usually recommended to stay under 30 feet (50′ for high quality cables) or use fiber optic for longer runs. VGA can go nicely up to 100′. You can’t mix and match VGA and DVI.

Look for a 27″ iMac, without Retina would be better since it will lighten the load on the GPU.
It’s also much more fun to edit on a large display.
Aside from from what Alex mentioned, editing on a screen size like the Air would be a nightmare.

Most of these projectors have non interchangeable lenses, so you are stuck with short throw.
Most of the ones I’ve seen are pretty cheap, so as long as you can use them for small meetings etc. where the projector can be placed right in front of the screen, that might be a good purchase.
