Hi Jimena,
Could you post a screenshot? A common issue with drones is shadows from the blades onto the lens causing a hum like overlay, is it not in the original footage?
As long as the footage was shot progressive, I can’t think of any other issues causing it.

Does sound like a bug with that particular format? As a work around, I would try doing a quick export to Prores (Right click > render and replace and choose Prores).
If that works, just throw all your footage in Adobe Media Encoder and do a render queue to prores.

Hi Lucas,
I’ll just address your title, don’t do it. Just rent a clearcom system, they are pretty cheap from most rental houses, VER etc. That’s what they are designed for, and they work in crowded area, unlike WIFI.

You can go as high as you’d like with bit rate, especially if you have a lot of motion or noise. You most likely won’t see much of a difference past 25mbps at 720P.

Hi Neil,
Since you are uprezsing standard def to HD, I would recommend clicking the maximum render quality box. I would change the bit rate to CBR 25 Mbps.
Do keep in mind that not only is your original footage SD, it’s also converting from interlaced to progressive, that will cause a pretty large quality/ resolution loss, however your compression artifacts should go away with higher bit rate. Premiere also had a bug with H.264 export a while back, make sure you have the latest version. If that doesn’t solve it, you can try a 100% quality Quicktime > H.264 export instead.

Yes, select your clips, right click and choose nest, that will create a sub sequence.

Does your sequence frame rate match the export frame rate? If they do and these are just pictures. then it’s most likely a playback issue.
You need a pretty good CPU/GPU to get smooth HD playback on pans and rushes. Try VLC since it has less overhead than most.

Hi Justin,
I would definitely look at Kinos for the green screen, it’s so much easier and flatter than open face lights, plus you have the luxury of dimming for fine tuning. For front lighting, I would do what you are used to.
Personally, I would rent 4 Diva Lites. 2 for the screen, 1 for key and 1 for the back on the opposite side.
You could go through Borrowlenses or others and have the lights shipped to your location. You should be getting a pretty good deal on a 2 week rental.
Just bring the sticks and screen / camera with you, and if you’re driving, bring the Kinos you own.

If you are editing 24p, you can just set it as 23.976, that should be it. What was it recorded with, was the sound recorded separately?
