  • I’ve heard of these “legendary” transitions of the Newtek lore, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen them. Can you guys clue me in?

It’s gotta be better than a $76K page peel.

    Hahahaha ;P

30i is 29.97 fps in reality. Check you render settings closely for something else when you go to export.

    Hi,

You need an app that works with the Decklink card for one thing (ie. Premiere Pro). I know having installed a Decklink card with an Avid nle on a Mac caused the Avid to be not friendly, but I don’t know for the PC. You could go for it and create a different hardware profile for Premiere than the one for using Avid. In the Premiere (or whatever you use – AE for example) make sure you have the Decklink card working and then disable it via the ‘Device Manager’ for the Avid profile.

On the render progress window, it says “To Cancel Render, Press Control +.”. Maybe that’s a setting somewhere? Console?

One thing I always do after I’ve started a render is to do a ‘Control + T’. You get a visual display of the time spent as well as an estimate of the total time of the render. I’m reading Kafka’s “The Castle” for the fourth time 😉

It definitely fills a need. I’ve also used a few other Inscriber products and liked them all.

    Hmmm…

My brakes were making noise so I went to the dealer.

“Don’t worry about it – they all do that.”

A week or so later, I hardly had any brakes and they were then making a grinding noise. I had to pay for the brakes and have the cylinders (I think that’s what it was) ground.

Moral of the story: try another dealer.

Or you can probably find a “What’s New in 6.0” in the download centre.

    Hello,

Has this problem just come up out of nowhere?

I regret that I can’t remeber the bugs with that particular version, but there were some “issues”. I’d really recommend using another system to download either 4.5 or 4.6, burn it to cd, sneaker net it over to the editing system and install that.

[Paul Peltekian] “I dont think the “industry” we’re in wants to make DVD importing or ripping any easier than it already is.”

Hahahaha! Spot on, Paul. They’re spending a lot of $$$ on it, too.

I agree with what has been said about bringing it in off the component at 1:1. You’re going to start seeing some yuck real fast applying any more compression to it. When mixing multiple sources, keep a eye out for any field reversal hijinx.
