    Hi,

Can anyone explain to me why Avid has a problem when creating a SATA 150 RAID 0? I just got off the phone with an Avid certified dealership and the technician told me to stay away from Raiding any drives together. He says that I normal drive’s throughout is about 50 to 60 MB/s while DV only needs 4 to 5. But if I was doing 2:1 or even 1:1, I’m guessing I’d need more throughput, hence the need for RAID 0, no?

Any advise on this matter would help me considerably.

    Thanks.

    Hmmm…

My brakes were making noise so I went to the dealer.

“Don’t worry about it – they all do that.”

A week or so later, I hardly had any brakes and they were then making a grinding noise. I had to pay for the brakes and have the cylinders (I think that’s what it was) ground.

Moral of the story: try another dealer.
