I’m using Xpress Pro 4.1.1 (not online so can’t update). When I hit play in any monitor (source, record, or pop-up) audio will play, position indicator will move, but video is freeze frame that updates to the current position when hit stop. Monitor refresh rate is 75. This is the case for old material that has played before and for new material that I just digitized (which by the way, I could not see video as I was digitizing, and yes I had confindece enabled). There is nothing overlapping the window and it is the same in both monitors. Is this a settings issue? I don’t think updating is the fix for this problem.

    Hello,

Has this problem just come up out of nowhere?

I regret that I can’t remeber the bugs with that particular version, but there were some “issues”. I’d really recommend using another system to download either 4.5 or 4.6, burn it to cd, sneaker net it over to the editing system and install that.

I downloaded and installed 4.6 but the problem remains unchanged. I have a voice inside my head that’s telling me it’s a settings issue but it’s not telling me what setting.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling your video drivers for the video card?

Sometimes this kind of thing happens when the composer window is slightly out of place. Try clicking on the composer window (the source/record window) and pressing CTRL+’ (the apostrophe key). You could also click on the composer window and then select “Home” from the Windows menu to accomplish the same thing. It will return the composer window to where the software wants it to be.

    good luck,
    Carl

    Hi Chaz…

Did you ever find a solution for this?

I began experiencing the same problem today, and came across this thread in my quest for answers.

    Thanks in advance.
