If it’s the difference that bothers you, enh, it would bother me, but it happens all the time in TV news, so people are fairly forgiving.
In the future, I’d use a good boom mic like a Schoeps CMIT shotgun or cmc641 supercardioid. Then use the same mic in the booth. You’ll have to make EQ adjustments, but you’ll be in the same ballpark.
OTOH, you could downgrade and use the same lav in both situations.
