Hello, I have a chance to upgrade my speakers on my Mac (Final Cut Pro editing) to StudioPhile AV 40 speakers. Anyone have any experience with these monitors in their post-production set-up?

    I’m currently using Cambridge Soundworks.

    Thanks…

    Bill

    Hi,

20 watts per channel and a LF response of 85 Hz may be better than what you now have, but it doesn’t cut it in the pro world.

You need more power and more low end to make good judgements about audio. Look for 50 watts/channel and LF response down to 30 Hz. 60 Hz if you use an additional subwoofer that fills in the bottom.
