    hello

I am an amateur film maker and i am looking to buy a shotgun boom. I am interested in Sennheiser, but i am confused, because i don’t know if K6 capsule is enough to capture sound or i need to buy also ME-66 or ME 67 in order to make this thing work?

    thanks

K6 is a power supply. ME-66 and ME-67 are the microphone capsules that screw onto the K6 Power supply.

My $0.02: save up a few more dollars and invest in an MKH416.

    Tomazek,

A shotgun mic isn’t the only choice for booming. Where will you be shppting?

The MKH416 is pretty pricy for me fight now since I just bought an HVX200. Is there a good shotgum mic at the 250.00 + or – level that will give me pretty good sound until I can go up to the MKH416?

    Any advice wil be appreciated.
