There are many ways of doing what you’re looking for. Radio Waves is just one of them. It would help a lot to see what you’re after- then we can be more specific.
Other ways:
Annimate a sequence of 3d disks in 3d space that grow with the beat and animate grey values from light to dark as they grow and move in space towards the camera. Comp them on black and precomp. Use the precomp as a displacement map to displace the image.Use Sound Keys to generate keyframes and animate the z space position of several circles positioned on 3d layers.

I don’t think that you need to show all 50 layers – you can most likely break all of it down to 3-4 steps. Render a pass for each step and then cut/fade or transition as you see fit from the initial footage through the rendered intermediary stages on to the final. You may add a few lines of type describing key elements of the process over still frames after a transition.
That being said, I would recommend only one or two of these in a reel- the most important thing is to make it memorable, with a bang and a WOW- in a word: entertaining!

Thanks for pointing that out Dave- I would like for us to have a magic AE Crystal Ball that gives out the answers without any information, however since that kind of magic does not happen on this forum please read again the questions and answer all of them.

Not exactly- at least I do not now how to do it the way you describe, but here’s an alternative:
Add a Expression Control/SliderControl to your Null layer and lock the Effect Control panel. Open your Precomp and add Effect/Channel/Invert to the layer with Alpha. Link the “Blend With Original” control with the Slider Control. Now you can control the Alpha – at 100% you will get the layers alpha and at 0% the inverted alpha.Hope this helps.

When posting issues like yours is always best to add the following info:
AE version
OS
Processor
Video Card
RAMExact codec you are using (post screen grabs of your Render Settings)
What you have in your Comp- 3d layers, any 3rd party plugins you are using, if any footage, then what kind of compression does that footage have…All of the above can help solve your issue- without them we shoot in the dark.

In CS5 you can queue renders from Premiere in Encoder, but if you’re using Encore, here’s a few links to help you understand the workflow using Dynamic Link:

If you bring a 29.97 clip in a 25 fps Sequence, Premiere deals with it and manages to give you a decent result. However it is best if you re-render at 25 fps and replace your footage- it should not alter your cut.
For regular DVD PAL you will need to export a 720×576 Widescreen pixel aspect ratio @25fps.
If you are planning to use Encore to Master the DVD, then export your 1440×1080 and bring that in Encore and let it deal with the compression. If you plan to export straight from AE, then don’t. Depending on what version of AE you have you can either send to Encoder (CS6 and up) or open a AE comp in Encoder and render from there using a mpeg2 DVD preset.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu
