    Nothing selected
It is happening on every single Ai file.

I made new files with completly different object in the file and it occurs with these also.

I even mad a new premiere project and it occurred in this project with new and old graphics.

I am updated on all CS3 programs.

    Very peculiar?

I also exported the Ai files to a psd file and brought those in and there is no problem with those.

I could do this but it limits me from using ai files which should be possible.

Thanks for your help. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Closing the project file and reopening the file works for me.
I do not have to close the AE

  • Again, Thank you very much for your time and willingess to share. It is greatly appreciated.

  • Thanks very much Chris.
I have a project that needs this very touch and I want to thank you for you gift of time and skill to the rest of us.
Not to be too greedy but is there a quick explantion of how you achieved the great looking ink text on the paper?
blending modes, some more fractal noise, and maybe some glow??

    CC Particle will work.

To use custom particles with PW use the textured polygon or textured square particle type and whatever is on the layer you have put the PW effect on will be the particle. you may need to adjust the birth and death size as well as other settings.

    1. make a comp
    2. make a text layer with a “?” at about 60px for font size
    3. select the “?” Text layer you just made and apply the CC PW effect to that layer
    4. choose textured polygon as the particle type (or textured square)
    5. change the birth size to 2.0 preview

    adjust other settings as needed!

Dave when you emphatically say DO NOT shoot DV 16:9, are you saying because of this particular situation or because of a problem with DV 16:9?

I have and it works well BUT be prepared for a severe render hit.
I did a low light shoot of a violin solo and the 4 minute song resulted in a 45 minute render with the remove grain filter in effect.

But the results were a significant improvement.
