I had a similar problem and ended up using a site called zamzar to encode the flv file. I never did resolve the issue. I was looking at a company called on2. I know this doesn’t help your issue with your reinstallation, but at least you have a way to make a flv file. Hope this helps.

I recently had this issue… I used a site called zamzar. It’s totally free. and transcodes to a number of formats including .flv

Did you try exporting a self comtained movie and droping it into a 4×3 seq? or is that what you did?

Try highlighting the clip, then hit option+L to unlink the audio clips, then do what Walter said and pan each channel individually. Otherwise, I was thinking, it may be playing out from the deck that way. Check the wiring between the deck and capture card.

I have 2 Lacie drives and haven’t had any problems…. but I’ve had two maxtor drives that went bad. One was bad out of the box. Another squeeked and eventually failed. Both had to be replaced. Now I only use Lacie drives. When Your life is going to depend on it, I wouldn’t choose Maxtor. Yeah, you might save a few bucks with Maxtor, but if you get a good Lacie, it will last a while. In the end… hard drives fail. COUNT ON IT. Good luck with everything.
