Mike,
Here is a link to a project one of our clients recently shot with the Varicam we sold them:
https://www.thenatureofthegame.com/trailer.html
I just got back from Varicamp myself and went in with a few questions about resolution, etc… I am SO glad I went to that class as it resolved any question I had that lingered about 720 vs. 1080, color, etc…
If you can, I highly recommend you attend the next Varicamp. You will be very happy at what you can make the camera do.

This is a problem I came across with another client. I queried Apple and they said this was a hole in their AppleCare offerings that they hadn’t squared away yet.
It seems like Apple is missing out on a revenue stream here… AppleCare for Cinema Displays.

Shawn,
I have clients who have been very happy with that card, but…
I would get off 10.3.9 immediately. Upgrade to 10.4 and see if it resolves. There have been a lot of reported problems with 10.3.9.
Example–Blackmagic will not support any of their cards running on a 10.3.9 based system.

Walter,
We haven’t seen that behavior here.
Panasonic AJ-HD1200a deck and Sony J-H3 all going into Kona 2 via HD-SDI. Works okay for us.
