Work with how? if you export from FCP6 you can take the export file to the Compressor 4.

The fit format is the default behavior. If you want to change it, you have to use the spatial conform function in the inspector. Change it from Fit to Fill or to None.

No, there is no way to do that in the current version of FCP. You could color correct a clip and export it, but each clip would have to be done separately.

Not so. In fact it has more sophisticated color correction than older versions.
There is no batch export function in FCP.

Select the section you want to use. Opt-G to make a compound clip. Select the CC and copy it. Paste into a new project. Repeat. Rearrange. Re-edit.

That’s about the same as the App Store. Better than it used to be. At one point the FCP rating was hovering around two, but as climbed back up to three. Close to evenly split between love and hate with little in the middle, classic high contrast histogram.

Select the clips or the event, Control-click or use File and select Transcode Media. You’ll get the dialog that lets you create proxy media.
