I have a G-Drive firewire 800 drive (formatted OSX extended journaled for time machine) that showed up once in the event library, but then disappeared and no matter what I do, it won’t show up in FCPX Event Library. My other USB drives (formatted the same) show up no problem.

Does FCPX not support firewire? Why did it show up once and let me transfer footage but afterwards disappear? Any tricks or steps I’m missing? (it does not show up as an option in any drop down box anywhere)

I can transfer footage from the drive as it shows up in finder but not to store footage to in the event library.

    Using Quad-core iMac i5.

FCP won’t work with Time Machine designated drives.

    All the best,

    Tom

Makes sense… wonder why it showed up that one time…
