They should be there. You might try closing the application and trashing the preferences files to reset the application and see if they reappear after that.

iMovie assigns zero as the start of all clips it captures or imports. The tape TC information is lost. iMovie builds the project as you cut it into a composite QT file, which contains the shot information but no real TC information.

If you didn’t give the marker a name it should way something like marker # when the playhead is paused directly over it. Use Shift- up and down arrows to go to the next or previous marker to make sure you’re exactly on the marker. Also make sure the marker is applied to the timeline ruler not to the clip. Clip markers don’t appear in the canvas only in the viewer.

Try adding Spill Suppressor – Green after the Chroma Keyer, and then adding Matte Choker after the Spill Suppressor.

You are misunderstanding. Switch does what you’re seeing. It simply switches the angle. To actually edit you need to cut.

Uou can save your Preferences files onto a disk or somewhere else on your drives and replace them as needed.

In your situation you need to pull the purchase order. You also need to question your administration, perhaps through your governing board, why purchase orders are delayed four to six weeks.

Write a patch for an obsolete version of software? How about a patch for v4, or v3. Or why can’t my FCP2 or even 1.2.5, which was probably the most solid version of the application. run in OS X, let alone on a dual core machine.

Then don’t buy the computer. Sounds to me like Apple will lose money on this, not make it.

Apple might say QT is part of the operating system. Isn’t it the board manufacturer’s responsibility to write drivers that work with the OS? If an OS component changes it’s the third party’s responsibility to change the drivers. That said, obviously it should work, and should not have been broken in the QT development.
