Yes. Cmd-L turns on looped playback. Shift-/ plays around with whatever pre-roll/post-roll prefs you set.

Did you read my response? All of the edits I mentioned can be done on the fly including the extend edit, which can be either a ripple or a roll edit.

You need to be more specific about what you mean by dynamic trimming. Normally dynamic trimming is done in a trim edit window not in the timeline. If you want to trim numerically or with the keyboard while playing an edit. Select the edit point with [ or ] or and use Shift-/ for playaround. Use comma or period or Shift-comma or Shift-period to trim. These adjustments can be made during playback with looped playback.

1) Kingston are usually reliable. The important point is to make sure it is a class 8 or better card.
2) Software like Card Rescue can be helpful.
