In legacy FCP you could not place a transition solely on the start of a clip of it was inline with another clip. It would always extend the other clip if there was available media. You could shift the center of the transition bit you could not disconnect the transition, not without detaching the clip from the inline clip.

I don’t know how to pirouette and I don’t need to. Really moving one second is that difficult for you? Jeez.

2. Add keyframe to 0. Cmd-P +1period enter. Change opacity to 100. The ramp is exactly the same as legacy versions.

I can’t see anything there, unless there’s something strange in the secondary storyline segments that are butting against each other. I’ve never built a project that looks like this so their maybe something strange happening in the secondaries. Wonder if it would work with the chapters on the primary storyline. It does work with chapters on secondaries, but I’ve never seen them broken up as much as this.

I can’t tell without seeing the project. It sounds like there is a length problem, that the tracks, including the chapter track, don’t match.

You can’t have a chapter marker at the beginning. Remove it. The beginning is already defined.

When you create a project the default setting is based on first clip. There is a checkbox that you uncheck to prevent that from happening. If it’s unchecked you might get a dialog asking to specify the project settings.

Is this in Compressor 4 or in FCP? It sounds as if you put the whole custom folder on the file to encode.

It’s in the new project dialog. You can change project properties, other than frame rate, in the project inspector.
