Thanks for the ingenious solution, worked great for me.
In response to previous posters who said change workflow, I ended up with lots of gaps after importing several hundred still images for a time lapse.
The gaps appeared when I reduced the clips’ duration.
Maybe I could have done something differently?

February 3, 2012 at 7:54 pm in reply to: Audio automatically switch to free tracks when moving a clip to track V2Thanks, this is helpful.
I found it stupidly fiddly when I first tried it, not very intuitive at all.

I tried using shift-alt and drag, but this didn’t work for me. Instead, I found I can interchange two clips’ positions by holding cmd and dragging.
I’m using a mac and the keyboard shortcuts are set to default.

August 24, 2011 at 2:03 pm in reply to: Transitions in Premiere more cumbersone to apply than in FCP?Hi Ben,
thanks for that – taught me quite a few new things!
I’ll have to reconfigure the page up/down because I don’t have them on my keyboard.
I think that I’ve come to the general conclusion that I prefer editing on the timeline in FCP, but PP comes out tops because it’s faster and better for my dslr footage.

August 15, 2011 at 9:43 pm in reply to: Adobe Premiere last clip on xha1 tape doesn’t captureOk, figured something –
If I press stop to stop the capture process it asks me if I want to save the clip, then it appears in the project panel.
If I just let the whole tape run to the end, then close the capture window, the last clip is missing from the project panel.
Apologies if this sounds a bit dumb, I’ve only just started using Premiere.

August 15, 2011 at 9:35 pm in reply to: Adobe Premiere last clip on xha1 tape doesn’t captureHiya,
The last clip on the tape captures, but doesn’t appear in the project panel.
Not that big a problem as far as things go, but a bit frustrating with lots of tapes to get through.
I’ve just got one on the go now actually, so I’ll see how that goes.

August 10, 2011 at 7:59 pm in reply to: Adobe Premiere last clip on xha1 tape doesn’t captureI’ve just checked and the last clip on the tape does appear in the scratch folder, but not in the Adobe Premiere’s project tab, where the rest of the clips are.
Anyone any ideas why that would be?
