I’d also be working with 8.0c. Sad to hear about your issues… I hoped it’d just be me… my only other alternative right now would be WMM… 🙁 don’t even want to consider that…

    my 2cts

I found mp4 to be a lot more blurry than wmv and render everything to that… so far uploads have been without problem – crisp and sharp :o)

I’m just a beginner myself – so maybe I should not respond to this…
because the only thing I could now think of is

    – making an image (in Photoshop) that has a considerable width (say 30cm’s)
    – adding the trails (in wave-form so you got movement) and then
    – pan across that image

when coming to the end of the image you would want to make a (smooth) transition with the same image (repeating itself)… or just put it “back-to-back” if the transition shows… way of doing that could be solved by reflecting the image in Ps on itself (errm “plaing around with horizontal/ vertical reflection that is ;o))

Other than that it would be (maybe only simple) masking issue and – as I said – I’m only a beginner myself…

I’ll keep watching this thread ;o)

Hope that helped for now :o)

    thanks for the responses :o)

so other than “go pro” it’s “do stone-age”? :o(

Like isolating the timeline till the time of full stop, splitting it up

    -10% -20% *** -90% … fullstop … +10% +20% *** +90% … regular speed

and then CTRL+drag each and every individal package to the appropriate speed?

    woooooooow – that sounds like … “don’t”

I mean there is no “batch command” or anything?

because getting it to gradually slow down and speed up this way is like… analog ;o)

    Thanks for participating

I tried a few things last night on brightness/contrast, duplicated a vid track + did some color correction + I zoomed into the effect layer… but it’s not matching the effect exactly.

for one to notice is that the effect is only taking place on the x axis and only flaring out the white parts that are coming over a certain threshold… would really be nice if some expert could have a look at this :o)

    Thanks

can’t give a specific solution or hint on the actual problem but

    – is it vital that the audio track is in mp4 format?

if not, then (for the time being) consider to change the format by using a converter tool, such as Bink and Smacker/ RAD video tools and convert to .wav -> .mp3…

    Thanks

feel free to :spank: me as being a complete n00b to this board…

but I can’t find the resources you’re referring to… and I did various searches here on CCOW…

I also look for a way to do masks in Ps and then use them in Vegas (if that is possible with Movie Maker 9 PE)…

please anyone could just post me a link?

absolutely dig the effect… a bit much, yes – but that’s what (to me) is right about it.

would also like to know how it’s done…

*assumingly* it is first masked, “glow” added and then filtered red, put back together with the original footage, opacity reduced… but I couldn’t say for sure, would need to try out.

    Anyone else?
