If I create an image in photoshop that for example has a black background with a clear window or hole in the middle, can I save it as a .png file and use it for a mask in Vegas? If so how would I achieve this in Vegas? Does it just need to be above the track that I need to mask? If not how can I create masks in photoshop and have them work in Vegas.

    Thanks
    Dave P.

Take a look at Vol 2 #5 of my newsletters for the “Beginner’s Corner” article. Substitute your image where I use the text generated media. You might also want to look at vol 2 #10, Vol 3 #1, Vol 3 #3, Vol 3 #4, and Vol 6 #1. There’s a whole lot more details there than I could ever get in a single post.

feel free to :spank: me as being a complete n00b to this board…

but I can’t find the resources you’re referring to… and I did various searches here on CCOW…

I also look for a way to do masks in Ps and then use them in Vegas (if that is possible with Movie Maker 9 PE)…

please anyone could just post me a link?
