1) Is this an MXF ouput?

Yes it is. It is the AVC-Intra 100 codec wrapped in an MXF file

2) So as a master Full res file…does that also mean AME encodes (say to a flavor of H264) based on that as a source should be faster as well?

I have no info on that possibility. BUT I have also switched from doing QT H.264 to MP4 H.264 files. And like OP1a, it is 2X as fast as the QT H.264 exports since qt32sever is not a bottleneck in the process.

3) Is this supported as a Pr “Smart Render” codec for working in the timeline?”

I have no information on that. But most of my timelines have effects and motion graphics and I believe Smart Render only works with plain clips.

I wish Adobe would do that as well. But this is a good alternative for the meantime.

To precomposing the obscuration layers. Then add the blur to the precomped clip.

My mistake. I was think of MPEG Streamclip.

I believe I heard that if the dvd is not copy protected you can just drag to VOB files to your media drive and PrP will play them back. Lets see if this can be verified by folks that use it often.

Use Handbrake to convert them to prores or DNxHD or similar clean codec.Use that media to edit with.

Chris, the irony here is I DID disable auto updates. And I selected just the Windows Updates. But I guess I needed to view another level of choice when making the decision to select what I wanted from that specific download

Looks like a flare doing 180 rotation on its Y axis. I havent used it for a while, but I think AE comes with a basic flare.

Or if you are in the market, here, in my opinion, is the best deal on flares around.

Alex, feel free to offer him any helpful advice to resolve his situation. 😀

I am offering him advice from my own experience that solved a bad situation in a timely manner. In dire situations time can be of the essence. Especially when you are dead in the water.

So, by all means help him here in whatever manner you can toward that end.

And I will do the same in my own fashion.

Im sure you can appreciate where Im coming from.
