Just as a point of comparison, Im running CS6 PrP on both a Mac Pro system and a Z820 system, both through a Kona 3 card feeding HD-SDI to an external engineering monitor. I haven’t experienced the JKL lag issue you mention.

You are running the most up to date Plugins (2) from AJA right?

1. Color correction for the stylized sepia look.

2. Animated mattes for the patches of red.

3. Text/Particle effects for the titles.

4. Dripping blood looks real so either Real Flow or a practical effects of red liquid.Maybe from a library of dripping liquid effects.(Looks a bit to good to be the Liquify effect).

Matt, its true that CS5 PrP/AE dynamic link has issues that CS6 doesnt have and a real good reason to upgrade. But I was still able to get it to work when I used CS5.
Are you sending individual clips to AE or the entire timeline?

I have had folks that build and configure edit systems suggest that I stay away from Norton and McAfee.

They suggested I use Microsoft Security Essentials. I manually update new definitions before I edit. So far it seems to be doing a very good job. Its free from MS.
