Other possible fixes are:

1. Delete Media Cache files from the Media Cache folder when PrP is closed.

2. Same for Preview files.

3. It doenst hurt to delete Preferences as well.

My research indicates that AVCHD is a long GOP codec. If when using the Project Manager you select Trim Clips, I know that PrP will not trim Long GOP clips. That maybe the issue you are bumping into here.

Jason, I have a GTX570 that performs quite well. Im waiting to see how things pan out with CS7 before make that huge investment.

Brian. Do you have any long GOP media in this Project you are trying to trim?

PrP will not trim long GOP media (like H.264 as one example). That may account for your error.

1. Create your text and the yellow bkg as 2 layers then put them in a precomp.

2. Place that precomp in another comp with a white solid layer behind the precomp

3. Make the precomp a 3D layer and move it forward on the Z axis.

4. Add a camera and a light.

5. Make sure Create Shadows is active on the light and the precomp.

6. Adjust to taste.
