Project Manager….
I’m an FCP user learning PP CS5.5.
I’ve run into a problem with the Project Manager, no matter what settings I choose (Trimmed Project, Collect Files, Include/exclude Preview files etc) I get this error message:
“An unknown error occurred during the Project Manager operation.”
FWIW. I’m running CS5.5 v5.52
MacPro 12 core, 10.5.6, 32GB RAM, 8TB.
The project is < 50GB and the drive I want to archive onto has > 600GB free.

I encountered this error plenty of times in 5.5, disable the options for saving Preview files and audio conformed files and try again, it works for me.

I am working with CS6 Production and I am having the same problem. I have tried to do this since adobe added Project Manager to Premiere and it has never worked. I have always gotten this error. Has anyone every used project manager successfully?
I have always attempted to save the new trimmed project to an external disk – could this be the problem? (Plenty of space USB 3.0)
Do you have to save in the same location as the original project file?
If it worked it would help me out so much. -
Brian. Do you have any long GOP media in this Project you are trying to trim?
PrP will not trim long GOP media (like H.264 as one example). That may account for your error.
