Howdy Ed. We met in SLC about15 years ago when I worked at STS Video Productions as an editor. I came over to check out the facility where you worked. It had lots of character as I remember. Just wanted to say hi.

There are options in the animation dialog for the effect to affect characters,words and lines. See if that meets your needs.

If your intention is to educate other users about the issue to motivate them to let Adobe know how they feel, I think that is a great idea.
I can assure you from my personal experience with the issue that Adobe is aware of this concern by a lot of its customers.

To build your own you need to type your text then add a Character Value Animation effect to the text. Here a 2 screen capture for you to figure out the rest of the process. Good luck!

Kevin, I feel the same way. To prepare for its release I got the free demo of the Studio version of C4D which is fully functional for 43 days. After that it just doesnt save.
In addition Im hip deep in a wonderful tutorial series at Lynda.com by Rob Garrett. After a week of intensive learning Im beginning to feel comfortable with the program.
