[yikesmikes] “Thaat looks like Pete’s Smear to me”
That’s exactly what I was looking for, thanks!

Yeah I figured it the batteries mightn’t think too much of it.
Although I’m not using the camera it does still display on the CCD… there doesn’t seem to be a way to disable it.
Thanks for your replies,

I am getting the same error trying to render a project using 6.5 on the mac which was made in 6.5 on the PC. If anyone has any ideas about this it would be greatly appreciated.

Technically, as long you hit the education criteria in the first place then you are free to use the software for whatever you please, conscience free.
There’s an FAQ about it here: https://www.adobe.com/education/purchasing/faq.html
I am in a similar postion being a student who does commercial work part time. Its very different with macromedia products though, so be careful.

Nothing as drastic as jumping platforms 🙂
As a photography student who dabbles in web design and animation I have to get CS2, Studio 8, AE and FC Studio, so I end up with a lot of software I dont need in addition to that which I do (then again I do get it somewhat cheaper, so I can’t complain too heavily 🙂 ) Production studio would have consolidated 3 of those items into 1.
Thanks for the clarification.

can someone just clarify this – as a mac user, none of adobe’s video-based bundles are available for my OS since adobe no longer port Premier to the mac.
So if I want to use AE I need to buy it separately, but I sometimes need to edit straight video so i’ll have to get FC studio too (seeing as I can no longer get final cut separately), meaning that I end up with both AE and motion.
Is this correct? Can anyone offer any advice on my best option here – I can’t believe I’m the only one in this position.
