ya see, creativecow.net offers a mobil version of this site for iphone users (maybe other pdas too, not sure though) but it’s navigability is really limited…unlike the actual website..which is , of course, totally awesome.

wondering if there’s other cow users that are using the mobi.creativecow.net site for the iphone and not overly impressed with the ‘useability’…nice start, just not quite fully featured…

sorry…i never was able to figure out… must have been an compatibility issue with my panasonic dvx100a camera …but i ended up using different configuration and the imac recognized a jvc minidv firewire without any problems.

thanks …i’m aware of the typewriter stuff within final cut pro…i should have been more clear… that I’m looking for something that makes the text appear as if it’s being handwritten (maybe even cursive) on the screen…

After reading all of the above and being in the same situation: deciding to purchase a MBP or an MP desktop…I’ve decided best way to go is the MBP laptop. Since I’m on the road a lot and only in edit suite about half the time…I’ll be getting much more bang for my buck…I’d love to buy both but have to feed the wife an kids too:}

When in the studio, I’m going connect the MBP up to all my current “peripherals”…basically, connect my mouse, keyboard, two kogi lcd monitors (still working on how to make this happen), firewire out to sony mindv deck>out to external video monitor, other firewire800 out to my 1Terabyte Lacie drive and audio out to studio speakers…and not even touch the laptop when I’m working in the studio…

doesn’t this sound like a reasonable solution for my situation?

yep. it’s more like the new imac G5 is not compatible with dvx100a firewire?

anyone else heard of this…. the odd thing was that the imac’ss built in camera seemed to be overiding my firewire connection….

weird indeed. good thing the imac station is not my primary edit station.
