I’ve had similar things happen that usually involve a large graphic or a third party plugin. I’ve also had Media Encoder do something similar, but worked rendering out from PPro. So best to look at what happens at 2:19:21. Can’t say that rendering to a different codec will help, never did in my case.

There are system presets for MXF OP1a in AME. Just scroll down to the one that matches your listed requirements. There’s an XDCAM 50mbps 25fps 1080 preset.

You should be able to save as a preset. Click on your effect in the timeline, open Effect Controls – then I CTRL-Click anywhere in a blank area of Effect Controls window. Then save as Preset. I am on Mac, therefore the CTRL-Click.

Actually could be an issue with CS6 on Sierra. If you’re set with CS6, you might want to go back to El Capitan. Also, I read somewhere there was an issue with Java on Sierra not working well with CS6, you may need a legacy version of Java. Do a search on that.

And you can – if you really want to – make a custom sequence. You can make it any size/dimension you want. When making a new sequence, go to Settings and adjust the frame size. You could do 1920 x 2000 if you want. That would give you room top and bottom for your graphics.

I’m not sure there’s an easy solution to that. I haven’t had too many phase issues to really dive into it.

If you don’t see a progress bar in the lower right hand corner of PPro, when you are trying to preview the file, you may need to just transcode it. If you do see the progress bar saying conforming, just wait until it completes.
I’m guessing the iphone memo uses the AAC codec as well, which should be fine, but may have some other odd things going on with it.

    My first post disappeared…

Anyhow, you can right-click your clip in the bin. Select Modify, Audio. Then you can select to change your stereo track to 2 chn mono. You’ll then have to re-edit into your sequence. Unless you have cut the clip a hundred different ways, it’s pretty easy. Select your first frame of the clip in your sequence, turning on that layer, and select match frame. Then edit it back into your sequence. Not sure of a better way to do that. Do it for all instances that clip was edited into your sequence.
    Good Luck!

And is there any headroom left on your drives? Is your storage over 90% full?

I think Audition has a plugin to fix phase issues. Or, depending on what you’re doing, I usually just have dialog on the zoom so I convert it to 2 ch mono instead of stereo.
