I’m thinking something from the SDK is still hanging in there. Restore point doesn’t revert ALL files back.

Might be faster/easier, since you only got the computer a week ago, to wipe it and start over. Since you haven’t been able to do much yet. And don’t install the CUDA SDK! Any data on the on the drives, other than system drive, will be there when you get done.

Where do you see “Import Files Natively”? Granted, I am not on the latest release of AME, still 2017.0, but I haven’t heard that in 2017.1.
You might need to give your version numbers of PPro and AME and maybe describe your process of getting your sequence to AME.

Yes. I would uninstall the CUDA developers toolkit and your graphics driver. Then install the graphics card drivers again. Unless you are a software developer, do not install the toolkit.

Exactly. That’s why I was trying to find out what he was doing. I’m guessing the CUDA developers toolkit.

Didn’t I read you are on a Windows machine? You won’t have ProRes as an option. I would say to try and render out to something that matches your sequence first – 1920×1080 (I am assuming). Something like DNxHD. Get through a full render first! Then crunch that down to your SD MPEG-2. You will have 2 renders, but it sounds like you have an issue with a plugin or effect or graphic somewhere in the middle that you may have to deal with – if your render keeps failing there.

You shouldn’t have to install CUDA separately. Are you installing the toolkit?
Install your graphics card, update it. Update your Adobe software.
Things should be good.

You can disable the Intel. More chance of having a conflict than any benefit.

Yes. If you plan on using that old system drive, you will want to get anything you want to keep off of it, then format the drive. One thing to keep in mind is that the old system drive most likely has a lot of hours running. I wouldn’t put anything you really want to keep on it without a backup. But then that goes to say with any HDD.

Are you rendering using Media Encoder? Is your source file h264, or are you rendering to h264? Try rendering to ProRes, then transcode that file to h264.
If you need to get it out right away, try NOT sending it to ME. In export settings, instead of hitting Queue, make sure your settings are set and hit Export. See if that gets through the render. You won’t be able to do anything else in PPro while it renders.
