Right-click clip in your bin, select Modify Audio Channels. Select only the 2 channels that have audio – ditch the rest.
You can select multiple clips at once and do the same if it was all shot the same.

Thanks for posting that link Chris! I know some people that could benefit from the Video Revealed tuts. If you look at their Playlists, you get a better in order listing.

2 things you probably don’t need in your render settings. You can uncheck “Render at Maximum Depth” and “Use Maximum Render Quality”.
Don’t know if they’d affect your playback in the way your talking though.

Also, Erik brought up a good point. Did you do a fresh install of PPro? And try opening the project in question from within a new project. Just a couple more things to think about. But if your tests come up with everything working well, it may be something is corrupt.
That system should be pretty darn fast.

So many things can happen with a new build. What is your motherboard, RAM and PSU?
Drives, what do you have your video on and render to?
You may want to try running some computer benchmark software to see where you are compared with others. There could be something wrong in the build.

I would keep the fps the same. If you need to change the rate, do that in PPro.

Are you opening the clip by double-clicking it on the timeline? Or from the bin? That will happen if you do it from the timeline, because you would essentially be changing the current in/out on the clip on the timeline. Make sense?
If you’re opening from the bin, then I’m not sure what’s happening. Never had it happen that way.

I thought you may be able to convert to another format with Media Encoder. Would def make files that work well in PPro.
