  • Ha! Worked on a dslr pict I had. Scaled to desired size and used the 3d to zoom in.
Anyhow, using a matte will give you consistent results and be the best way to accomplish this. It’s really quite simple. Check out some Track Matte tutorials online. There are a bazillion of them, but you’ll probably just need one or two.

  • Try this… put a Basic 3D effect onto your picture, then use the Distance to Image to move in. I think it should do what you want, but yes, typically you would create a matte to cut out where you want your background to show outside of your image.

  • Try deleting your preview renders. Under Sequence file menu, select Delete Render Files. You can also place an in/out and delete in to out if you don’t want to delete all renders.

Chances are you won’t be able to play that large of a file without some problems. You will need to render out to a fraction of the size and scale it up. mp4 is a good option – small file size, still looks good.
But you definitely need to test out your hardware/software to make sure you can do what you want to do.

Before you even begin to do something like this, it might be wise to look into how to accomplish it, before even making your video files. I’ve made videos to span up to nine 16×9 portrait monitors by using software and hardware to specifically do that. The video was made at a fraction of the size and the software/hardware scaled it up to fit.

With 3 monitors, it might be possible to just use VLC to do this, but I’ve never done it that way. There is an option for rows/columns in VLC, but you’ll need to investigate that.

This is the wrong forum to be looking in. But I see you already found the correct forum to ask. The Live & Stage Events.

    Good Luck!

AfterEffects. I would hate trying to do something like that in PPro. Or if you are doing it on a still frame, export frame and Photoshop it.

  • Not sure if this will help, but worth a try. In your Project settings, General tab, try changing your Renderer to Mercury Playback Engine Software Only. See if that helps.

Have you tried sending each sequence out individually? You can still batch render from AME. When they are all in AME, just select them all and change your settings to what you need and select a location. You can change them all at once there.

I’ve always done what Dave is saying. Just duplicate the one folder and change the name to date/client and whatever else I need for organization, then go in and rename my PPro to what I need and open it. My folders are all there, my PPro project is already what I need for editing, and I have bins already that match my folder structure.
    Easy-Peasy!

I’d go with what Dave said. Check your sequence frame rate to see if it matches your source material.
