  • If you’re looking for a quick way of dropping music and punching the VO, have you tried Essential Sound? Balanced Male dialog and Balanced Background Music, adjust to liking. I’ve used that with good results.
Although most of my VO goes through Audition.

Couple things to keep in mind.
    1. Don’t trust any single drive to keep your data if you want to keep it – minimum 2 drives. Keep your video on one, backup to the other.
    2. I wouldn’t try copying from one drive to the other in your toaster. I’ve seen toaster appliances either not be able to handle that or end up with corrupt data somehow. Maybe yours will handle it fine, maybe not.
    3. Get hard storage cases for your HDDs when you take them out of the docking station for storage.
    Good Luck!

I’d say it’s more video card than PPro. It only happens with PPro? Have you updated your video card at all? And what is your hardware?

Not sure. But when I’ve gotten random rendering errors I’ve been successful NOT sending it to AME. Don’t Queue, but Export from the Export Settings dialog. You won’t be able to use PPro while it renders, but may work.
    Good Luck!

It is best to have your frame rates match, unless you have a reason not to, such as shooting at a higher frame rate for smooth slow-mo. Sometimes you can’t avoid different frame rates, and PPro can handle it fine, but you can end up with judder or other motion issues.
There are a lot of posts on this forum about frame rates if you do a quick search.
    Good Luck!

As far as jumpy video… what are the frame rates of everything? Original Drone footage, PPro Sequence, and your Export settings? Sounds like a frame rate mismatch somewhere with that.

Losing resolution… this could also come down to Sequence settings and Export Settings again. Hard to say what the problem might be without details.

[Jake Kranz] “my footage is on a WD Black series drive.”

Is this drive a single WD Black 7200 rpm HDD?

I’d try trashing the prefs. If that doesn’t work, uninstall/install. Did anything update recently? Video card? I know, at home, I got some new, big Win10 updates recently. I’m Mac at work.
    Good Luck!

Only downside I see to it is that it is software raid. The speeds they talk about on their site are raid-0 only. Granted, it’s been a while since I’ve tried using software raid, but it could take a big hit in performance to pull off raid-5. Unless someone has actually used one of these and can say different.
