    dont know an expression.

    but if you make another layer with a stroke/vegas effect that draws only a wandering point with high contrast to the image it should be pretty easy to track this point.

    im sorry, no elegant way…

    dont know how you get this numbers. why should you squash an 16/9 image that should fit in a 16/9 comp???

    45% should be right.

    dont squish or squash your footage!

    i think thats no surprise.

    if there is a program that can do just 5 things, it normally does these 5 things faster than a program that capilities are nearly limitless, including 3rd party plugs.

    well, i just wanted to test this again.

    but no luck with the image plane.

    right now im not able to import a maya scene into AE with the correct resulting comp size…

    do you get this working, death_or_glory?

    im curious about that, too.
    please post it here if you gathered some more knowledge about that.

    i had some problems with comp sizes when importing maya scenes. they were everytiem 320X240. that sucked.
    is that your problem, too? i fixed it with the usage of image planes. this way i forced maya and AE to recognize the right comp size.
