My AE7 is limiting the import of frame sequences to 32767 frames, the old FAT32 directory maximum! These are TGA frames (~39,000) created with AE7. PPro2.0 opens them fine. AE7 will even truncate the sequence when opening the PPro project. A reinstall of AE7 changes nothing. After a full Production Studio reinstall it’s fine the first time running then it begins truncating. I installed AE6.5 and it truncated also.

The one error message I’ve had read AE Error: getting number of files in directory — file not found 3::44

The pref file is default, and should be good for more than 39,000 frames.

Yupp, using sequences longer than that exhausts the handling buffer in AE and indeed it has to do with the 32bit-ishness of many parts of AE (simple legacy issues, no obvious technical reason). Just split your sequence like Tobias said.
